Max joined Scale in 2021 and focuses primarily on investments in Applied AI. He has contributed to the firm’s investments in Dusty Robotics, Regie.ai, Tavus, and Verusen.
Before Scale, Max was a private equity investor at Kayne Anderson, focused on growth-stage vertical software companies.
Max holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, & Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was also a varsity lightweight rower. Outside of work, Max remains an active endurance athlete, and he is an aficionado of narrative-driven podcasts (favorites include Hardcore History, Radiolab, and The Memory Palace).
